Alta Logs #4: Town Travels
Howdy, Townsfolk! Cayde here, with another Alta Log. I wonder… Have you found the hidden chest in the cliffs, or encountered a wyrm deep in the mines? Next time you do, make sure to snap a photo– Because you could use it as an entry into the Virtual Athletic League’s 2022 Winter Games! This contest is a fun, casual event featuring beautiful and sometimes hard-to-find locations and puzzles in A Township Tale.
The general premise of the contest is to replicate sample photos as taken by our expert artist, Mika! They searched far and wide for the most interesting, recognizable, and sometimes challenging locations in ATT and snapped pictures ranging from scenic vistas to mysterious caves, and even careful dice stacks. Try to replicate these photos as closely as possible for the most points– You may have to get your hands dirty with some crafting, or practice your archery skills to do so! More friends equals more points, too: Inventive interactions with other players awards you a bonus on top of matching the photo.
This sounds tough, but don’t worry– You’ll be in good company as you craft your shots. If you don’t feel up for playing yourself, you might want to check out one of our three awesome partners for this event! First, VBunnyGo is a playful, vibrant personality that many of you might recognize from her Among Us series and other VR content. Papa Fear Gaming VR usually spends most of his time in VR Chat, but will be branching out to explore the Township as well! Finally, Soul Fox Gaming, mostly known for his Rec Room content, will also be joining us for the event, and will be partnering up with VBunny on a joint adventure. I wonder what shenanigans they will get up to?
We hope you’re as excited for this event as we are! Not only will your participation win over our hearts, but by submitting, you are also entered to win a $300 USD cash prize, an adorable Schmeechee collectible trophy, and an ATT merch package! So, what are you waiting for? This event only runs until March 20, 2022! Go get snapping!
By the way– We’re planning on a Q&A session in the future, and would love to know what kind of ATT-related questions you’ve got stewing. Be it art, dev, community, or otherwise, we’d love to answer some of your inquiries. If you’re interested, feel free to drop some Q’s here, and keep an eye out!
See y’all in about two weeks, and stay safe out there!
