Tavern Update - Servers Page

Hi everyone!

We've rolled out a large update to the TAVERN website. https://tavern.townshiptale.com/servers

This update allows for you to view and manage servers from any browser.

Thank you to all our supporters who helped test and provide feedback over the past few weeks.

New Features

  • New "Servers" tab
  • Manage joined servers
    • See your joined servers
    • Server discovery feature
    • See server members
    • See online players
    • Join / Leave / Accept Invites
    • Notification box for recent events (invites, etc.)
  • Manage owned servers
    • Change server settings ( name / visibility / description / etc. )
    • Ability to create save backups. More on this below.
    • Ability to send commands to the server. More on this below.

In parallel, we're also releasing an update to the launcher. The new launcher is slimmer, redirecting to the tavern in places, as we focus on bringing new functionalities to the tavern. This provides the same degree of access to people no matter what device they are on.

World Saves

You can now create up to 5 backup saves of your world, which you can roll back to at any point. This backup includes everything from the world, to player saves.

We recommend saving it for serious situations, and communicating with your community when doing rollbacks.

Console

This page allows you to run commands for the server. We generally recommend to avoid using the console, it's effectively "cheating" at the end of the day. That being said, as we build up the tavern, it's important to us to have all key functionality available here. The console can be useful for spawning in lost items and server moderation.

This console also does not have the same issues that the dashboard had regarding connections in some browsers; If you had issues with the dashboard, be sure to try this one.

Feedback

If you have any feedback or bug reports, for the Tavern, Launcher, or A Township Tale, please let us know on our FEEDBACK FORUM!
